I bought this to wear to a concert presentation of the Wagner opera Das Rheingold by the LA Philharmonic at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Wagner was a madman and the opera is a lot of stomping and bellowing and I thought this tie with a black shirt was the perfect statement to make about it. One fellow concert goer specifically complemented me on my appearance. I'm a bit older than most patrons and was also wearing my new fedora. I figure one should show a bit of class if one has any. I'll wear this tie to other deserving events also, such as birthday parties.
