Iona - bow ties

I've been buying from Beau Ties for more than 20 years. I love my paisleys and florals but thought it was time to try plaid. The colours in this tie give it flexibility. Not 5 stars though because I find the fabric a little stiff and 'thick'. I long for the days when my Beau Ties silk bow ties were fine, soft to the touch and light making them very easy to tie and oh so stylish.

This tie is my fifth from Beau Ties over about five years. The company's standards for quality continue to be high. I bought this tie hoping there would be more red mixed with the green background. Less than I expected. And more white threads than I had thought. Still, the tie is handsome and the weave and weight are perfect. The colour scheme is subdued but that's what I wanted.
