Any change to the bow tie's default standard shape, style and/or neck size will be custom made for you. However, that change will then render the bow tie unreturnable and ineligible for return or exchange.     Ordered the standard length bow tie (15.5 - 19.5") which turned out to be slightly too long for me. They shortened it for free, and with no problems. They recommeded that when ordering I mention the "old standard" length which is 15.5-17.5, and by which I can assume men's collar sizes have gotten bigger over the years. That size fits great.
