I own 10-15 D-ring belts and am a big fan of the style, but I also have an "ample midsection," "mature girth," etc. You get the idea - finding a good D-ring belt in my size isn't always easy. And as a BToV bow tie customer for many years, I had not given any thought to looking at Beau Ties for a belt; I'd hunted for an Argyle & Sutherland D-ring belt for some time before I came across this one. Man, I am glad I found it.
First, the customer service - as always, very nice and prompt replies to my inquiries about sizing, etc. I received the order faster than I'd been promised. Second, the product - when it arrived, I will admit that I was skeptical. I didn't think it was constructed as well as some of the other similar D-ring belts I own that cost more. I couldn't have been more wrong. I've put that belt through the paces for over a year - and more than any other D-ring belt I own - and it has proven itself up to the task. No fraying, no deterioration - nothing but consistent good looks. Third, the performance of the product - I've mentioned how well it has held up under frequent use, and I use it so frequently because I can wear it with so many things. I'm a cotton khakis / poplin / linen / seersucker kind of guy, and, of course, it pairs well with all of those. I even tried it with corduroys, and it performed very well. Shirt color? You name it - white, blue, blue stripe, pink, yellow, green, red stripe, blue gingham, polo, short sleeve, long sleeve, popover - and this belt has handled it all.
Is this the perfect belt? I don't know...I'm only 48 and I (hopefully) have more belts to buy. But for all of these reasons, this is the best of the bunch I've bought. Thanks, BToV!
