The Need for Children to Wear Face Masks

Children aged 2 and beyond who have not received full vaccination , with rare exception, should wear masks if they are outside, such as at school, child care or camp, and while participating in group activities such as most indoor sports and outdoors sports that have close contact. They must also wear masks any time they are not able to stay a safe distance from other people.

Everyone must also keep on wearing them when on a plane, bus, public car, or other form of public transportation, as well as at the airport or station. If you have a medically diagnosed child or an at-risk person in your household, you may want to consider having anyone at home who is not yet vaccinated wear masks at home to make sure they are protected.
