Putting out support for homemade or cloth masks for the general public would likely lessen depletion of scarce medical masks. Clear masks or cloth masks with a transparent plastic panel are another form of mask for those that interact with the following:
- People having a hard time hearing;
- Young children;
- Students learning to read;
- Students learning a brand new language;
- People with disabilities’
- People who cannot shape mouth correctly
