Viviane Lafave: Keeping Production Free of Knots

As we mark our 15th year of celebrating Beau Ties, we must also celebrate Viviane Lafave, our original tie-maker supreme and now the leader of our talented production team. Back when the "headquarters" of Beau Ties was in Bill and Deb's spare bedroom, the "production facility" was in the basement of Viv's house where she and a group of five compatriots created the first of the tens of thousands of ties to bear our distinctive green label.

A creative and self-taught seamstress, Viv has remarkable leadership qualities which she puts to good use on a daily basis. And now, of course, her production team of fourteen talented and devoted handcrafters creates not only bow ties, but all of our coordinates, as well.

While it may seem, to the untrained eye (especially during particularly busy times of year), that the production room is on the verge of chaos, nothing could be further from reality. With precision that a Quartermaster General would envy, Viv marshals her troops and gets the job done – with quality her top priority.
